China Trip Helper collects only the information needed to answer your travel questions and improve the service.
Information we collect
When you submit a question we collect your name, email address, nationality, destination cities, optional arrival date, optional WeChat ID, the text of your questions, any link you choose to share, and whether you requested the optional priority service. We do not ask for passport numbers, passport images, payment card numbers, passwords, or medical records — payment for the priority service is arranged separately by email and never collected on this site.
How we use information
We use your contact details to reply to your questions by email (and by WeChat if you provided a WeChat ID for a faster follow-up), and to send you the confirmation email.
Anonymized questions and AI training
With your consent (the checkbox you tick when submitting), we may anonymize your questions — removing names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other personal details — and add them to our knowledge base. Anonymized questions are used to improve our travel guides and to train and power our free AI travel assistant, so future travelers get better answers. Your identity is never included in this material.
Service providers
We use service providers for website hosting, database storage, and transactional email: Vercel, Supabase, and Resend. There is no online payment on this site — the service is free.
Data deletion requests
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing hello@chinatriphelper.com. We will delete your inquiry records and any personal data within 30 days of a verified request.
Protect your sensitive information
Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, passport images, or other sensitive account details by email, WeChat, or screenshot.
